This chapter and any with Jasmine "thinking at odds" hints at an autobiographical element. I didn't grow up in the church, so this story is fiction, but questions like why God commanded Joshua to commit genocide, why God "hardened Pharaoh's heart" and then sent disaster onto his people, this one, why "Noah" "let God" drown the world, are all part of my own quest -- as is Jasmine's ultimate question about who Eve is and whether she's really the villain she's made out to be. I bet readers have figured out by now I take Eve's bravery to try something that could build her character over Noah who bows down world extinction. Did Noah ever question God? If so, we don't see it in our scriptures, and yet, most people think he's a hero. As an evolved Jasmine, I now believe that is "thinking at odds."karinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02865688491756284133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2475726867404602523.post-72228861141841443742020-03-18T03:18:58.335-07:002020-03-18T03:18:58.335-07:00I love the way the title of the chapter was in a f...I love the way the title of the chapter was in a form of a question because it is a controversial topic, which pulls the readers in.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15711715507297569086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2475726867404602523.post-76250723724217259952020-01-12T14:16:56.375-08:002020-01-12T14:16:56.375-08:00Thank you, Marina. How insolent of her to think that Noah “lets” God!

This section I had to read aloud to get its force. From “prickles” to “insolent” it emphasized how Mr. C puts down difficult questions, questions he feels are out of bounds. Annoying, but completely relevant to the blog’s them of “Just Like Eve.” Thanks, Marina
Marinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09640220998903997917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2475726867404602523.post-49315924477190267192019-12-21T12:42:58.956-08:002019-12-21T12:42:58.956-08:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2475726867404602523.post-90174151098043789242019-09-09T11:19:30.485-07:002019-09-09T11:19:30.485-07:00Quickly dismissing people is part of what we human...Quickly dismissing people is part of what we humans do all too much, isn't it? I hope my writing helps us to start seeing in a new way so we can limit that a bit more. That will also include seeing both Adam and Eve in a new way too. Keep reading on. :) Thanks for commenting!karinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02865688491756284133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2475726867404602523.post-5036345848785274532019-09-08T08:09:26.363-07:002019-09-08T08:09:26.363-07:00"I find it to be so ironic that people with d..."I find it to be so ironic that people with differing views are so quickly dismissed as ignorant or, in Jasmine’s case, “just like Eve.” Granted, Eve took the bait. Where was Adam? Why wasn’t he fighting for her? Why didn’t he ask some questions before biting into the fruit? Why didn’t he, in his favor, intercede on her behalf?” Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2475726867404602523.post-60542173643513338122018-10-21T13:44:42.450-07:002018-10-21T13:44:42.450-07:00Thank you and blessings to you!Thank you and blessings to you!karinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02865688491756284133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2475726867404602523.post-35997474231026506812018-09-14T15:57:50.611-07:002018-09-14T15:57:50.611-07:00Howdy!
